Ich wuchs an der Nordsee auf und begann in Hannover als Werbefotograf mit dem Schwerpunkt „Still Life“, Anfang der 1990-er Jahre. Seit 1997 lebe ich in Berlin und arbeite dort und unterwegs. Meine Arbeiten sind häufig beeinflusst von Filmen, hier insbesondere von den Schattenseiten des „Film Noir“. WIE ich Dinge und Situationen sehe, ist für mich oft prägender als das, WAS ich sehe.

I grew up at the North Sea and started in Hanover as an advertising photographer with a focus on "Still Life" at the beginning of the 1990s. Since 1997 I’ve been living in Berlin, working there and on the road. My work is often influenced by films, especially by the dark side of "Film Noir". HOW I see things and situations is usually more formative for me than WHAT I see.
